Business Networking Iftar Dinner

On June 12th, 2018, the American Turkic Business Council members organized a Business Networking Iftar Dinner at the Turquoise Center. Over 130 business people came to assist and took part of this event to share their personal experience in the business world.

Houston’s city council, Hon. Mike Knox, opened up this dinner by discussing the all the different reasons why Houston is a great place for investment opportunities. He mentioned several factors, such as the diversity of the city and the persistence of its population. “Houstonians are always ready to move forward”, he added, making a reference to Harvey, “despite the obstacles, we are always able to overcome them.” After the councilman presented his remarks about the different opportunities in Houston, he deferred to the chairman of Optima Global Financial Inc., Mr. Ahmad Alyasin.

The focus of his keynote was about how could business owners take their companies to the next level. This successful entrepreneur shared his “origin story” and the different tips that he found effective from what he had experienced. In his speech, he shared one of his major approaches to expanding a company, which is to invest in the stock market. In addition to that, he brought up the importance of having connections and networking for building a successful business. The Business Networking Iftar Dinner served as a great way for people of all different backgrounds to come together and exchange great ideas and opinions over some food and drinks.
